Celebrating God’s Kindness in 2024
/As the year draws to a close, we thought we’d ask a bunch of trainees to share their thoughts on their training with VBC this year. We hope you are as encouraged as we have been to read these testimonials.
“Through VBC God has equipped me well with learning different things such as how to disciple others, how to do ministry with small groups, how to evangelise to people and many, many more. I have been discipling new believers in my church—around 40 of them, and also teaching Two Ways To Live to around 600 students in secondary school.”
—Joseph Wario
“World Religions provided me with a fresh framework to look and to better understand people’s beliefs, and to explore how these beliefs compare to the Bible. It’s helped to grow my capacity to reach and understand people of other faiths. Notably this would include some in the Muslim community either where I teach SRE or interact with parents in various places.”
—Greg Brooks
“VBC has grown my understanding of Jesus and the Bible in real and practical ways. I have been greatly encouraged by Andrew Beddoe and his willingness to be flexible and adaptable to ensure I have been able to make the most of my learning around a full schedule.”
—Tabatha Reed
“God has taught me many things through the training with VBC this year, like:
1. How to form a small Bible study groups and also how to maintain them.
2. I learnt about skills on how to encourage others in how to live lives worthy of God.
3. How to evangelise to others about the good news of Jesus Christ.
4. God’s plan for us to salvation
And many others. Thanks a lot.

“This year, I have come to a greater realisation of God’s sovereignty in everything. He is almighty and in control, and that knowledge has brought me immense peace. This training has enhanced my ability to comprehend God’s will, His amazing grace, and love—even as we explore the complexities of His anger at times. I have witnessed God actively working through our group discussions and personal studies. The insights gained from VBC have equipped me to lead others more effectively, fostering a supportive environment for growth and reflection. I am thrilled to share my testimony. Thank you for all you do to support and encourage us.”

“God has taught me not only how to be a leader, but how to be a CHRISTIAN leader. One thing that particularly stood out is the idea of being a shepherd leader—one that cares for, knows, teaches/feeds and protects their people. God has used me this year to deliver a training program, and also to develop another, ready for use next year.”
