The Vocational Bible College Ministry Apprenticeships
Vocational Bible College (RTO 41496) exists to provide quality ministry training in the local church. One of the more formal ways that we train people is through our Ministry Apprenticeships. The VBC ministry apprenticeships gives everyday Christians access to a ministry pathway that will enable them to be trained in gospel ministry, as far as their gifts and circumstances allow.
The apprenticeships are:
Achievable: The entrance requirements are the same as those for a trade apprenticeship.
Flexible: Ideally a ministry apprenticeship will be done full time with financial support from the church. However it can be adapted to fit the circumstances of the apprentice and the church.
Staged: VBC offers a one-year, two-year or three-year full-time apprenticeship (Apprenticeships can be undertaken part-time over a longer time period).
-
Equips apprentices to be confident and competent disciple-makers. They will achieve a Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology (11237NAT).
-
Equips apprentices to be confident and competent lay-leaders in their church. They will achieve a Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology (11238NAT).
-
Equips apprentices to be confident and competent congregational leaders in their church. They will achieve an Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology (11239NAT).
Each apprenticeship is valuable in and of itself. The staged nature of the training means that apprentices can take it one year at a time. If at any stage an apprentice decides not to proceed to the next level of training, they have still achieved a worthwhile qualification and been equipped to be a fruitful disciple of Jesus.
